The Pentz Street side of The Oakwood (201 W Cuyler St), will be the site of a "Historic Dalton" mural in 2016. We are currently holding brainstorming sessions to gather community input for the final design. Congratulations to our artist, Ali Kay!
This blank wall outside Bear Creek (1229 W Walnut Ave). Suggested themes include biking and the Pinhoti trail, which runs right by the shop!
"This blank canvas gets tons of looks each day as customers in the Walgreen's drive thru sit and stare at it! Would love a cycling related theme that really captures the essence of the outdoor opportunities that Dalton has to offer. Bear Creek Bicycle Company is happy to support this effort!" - Shane Adams, Bear Creek Owner
The back wall of Xtreme Audio & Accessories (400 S Hamilton St), facing the Lisa's Cafe parking lot in Downtown Dalton. No specific theme for this one, but we would like the art to have a story or connection to Dalton if possible. (No paint directly on the historic brick portion of the wall, but you can mount or cover, if it is removable).
This is a shed behind the Huff House (316 N. Selvidge Street). Being a historical landmark, they would like something with a nod to Dalton History.
Four Paws Pet Resort is located at 220 N. Pentz Street in downtown Dalton (across from BB&T Bank and Parking Garages). A pet theme is suggested.
This highly visible green space is adjacent to Gregg Sims Architect office (304 N. Selvidge St.). We would love to see an interactive sculpture, that would encourage people to park and interact with the piece(s). All are welcome to submit ideas for this space, even if you cannot execute the plan yourself.
This wall welcomes visitors into Downtown Dalton (327 N Hamilton St)! No specific theme, but we would like a story or connection to Dalton. Since this is a historic brick wall, art will need to be mounted or removable in nature. Paint cannot be applied directly to historic brick.
Affordable Sales & Rentals is open to decorating their garage doors with art (325 N Hamilton St)! No specific theme, but we would like a story or connection to Dalton.
Culprit Athletics recently moved to 930 South Hamilton Street and is looking for an artistic addition to their highly visible side wall. An athletics theme is suggested.
